HYPATIA OF ALEXANDRIA
Hypatia was born at the year 370 or 355 after Christ during the fourth century in the greek city of Alexandria. Since she was little she was interested on astronomy, phylosophy and science. She helped many times at his work her father called Teon that was an important mathematic and astronomer.
She had studied in the museum, that was a centre of scientific investigation were her father was working. She also travelled to Athens and Rome to complete her formation. She became a brilliant neoplathonic master that did mathematical, phylosophycal and astronomical lessons.
Hypatia didn't fall in love or get married. Both she and Teon thought that marry Hypatia and tie her to another person by making her leave her vocationwould be like killing her. At the year 415 or 416 a group of christian fanatics stopped her when she was returning to home, they dragged her to the Cesareo church where they forced she to undress, after this humiliation she was beaten to death and dismembered. Her remains were displayed as a trophy throughout the city of until arriving at the zone called Cinaron where the remaiins were calcined until turning into ashes.
Hypatia is one of the two people that I most admire for her passion and curiosity to know what there is beyond what they had always shown us as truth, and for having managed to break through and progress in an era where the women were denied knowledge. she was the first woman scientist and was brutallymurdered, the reason: she was wise, so they accused her of being a witch.
